C4D Staffer Spotlight: Terry Moffatt, Content Strategist

Happy New Year, fans and followers! I hope you had a great holiday and had the opportunity to recharge and refresh yourselves so you could start the year off with a bang. We’re celebrating the start of 2016 with our monthly C4D Staffer Spotlight! For this installment, we’re learning more about Terry Moffatt, who is one of our content strategists.

At Work:

What current B2B marketing trend is inspiring you right now? Native advertising — it represents a great opportunity to tell a customer-focused story to a large audience through a trusted channel. It’s a great vehicle for top-of-the-funnel promotion and ongoing establishment of thought leadership.

Where did you go to school, and what did you study? I went to Queens College, City University of New York, and studied writing.

What common B2B marketing mistake makes you cringe? Emphasis on product promotion at early stages of buying cycle.

At Play:

What city do you live in, and what’s great about it? I live in New Hope, PA, a thriving art community on the Delaware River. It’s about 40 miles from Philadelphia — a great music town with world-class art museums; only 75 miles from New York City, which needs no explanation; and 50 miles to amazing ocean beaches.

What’s your favorite quote? “You’ve got to learn to live with what you can’t rise above.”  — Bruce Springsteen, “Tunnel of Love”

Who would play you in “C4D: The Movie?” Loudon Wainwright III

What inspires you? Being surprised. Experiencing the unexpected but perfectly appropriate punchline.

What’s the weirdest job you ever had? I worked as the “attacker” for a guard dog trainer.

Stay tuned for our next Staffer Spotlight next month!
